David Preiss

David Preiss received his Ph D from Yale University in 2005, where he attended as a Fulbright Fellow. Currently, he is Assistant Professor of Psychology at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile. There, he is affiliated to the Center for Research on Educational Policy and Practice and the Center Mide UC.

 

Preiss’s main research interests include the cognitive consequences of technology use, cultural patterns in the instruction of basic skills in mathematics and language, and the psychological measurement of creativity and writing.

 

David Preiss is the coeditor of Intelligence and Technology: The Impact of Tools on the Nature and Development of Human Abilities (Erlbaum, 2005), and Innovations in Educational Psychology: Perspectives on Learning, Teaching and Human Development (Springer, forthcoming). His current research work is funded by CONICYT.
