Johan van Braak has obtained his Ph D degree in educational sciences at the Free University of Brussels in 1999. Since 2003 he is a full professor at the Department of Educational Studies at Ghent University where he is in charge of the research group ‘Innovation in Compulsory Education’.

 

His current research areas include processes of ICT integration in primary and secondary schools, the relationship between teachers’ educational beliefs and innovative practices, parental involvement and the relation between educational research and practice.
